R56 What an idiot, I waved with my elbow... LOL.
My bluetooth is clear a a bell but I see complaints about the bluetooth often on this forum. Mark, what radio do you have, the standard one or the Harman Kardon? I have the HK radio, I wonder if that makes a difference
I got one of those sun visor clip on bluetooth gadgets for our Volvo. We found that it we speak quietly it sounds great, if we yell, it goes all to hell.

My bluetooth use to work perfect. I used it ALL THE TIME. Then one day it was just muffled... no one could understand me.
I even tried moving the microphone from the passenger side to the driver’s side and it still is no good.
It’s too bad because I really liked using the bluetooth on the car.

I always wave too and feel much the same as you, when the wave isn't returned. I'll keep waving though.
Waved at a gorgeous little MINI a couple of weeks ago and yesterday the gorgeous guy in the gorgeous MINI was right next to me waving back.
That's what I do and it drives my wife nuts. I don't care. I just have to wave at a Mini regardless what I'm driving. Most people just stare and wonder why?
Sometimes I find myself waving from the Jeep, or the Samurai at MINI's. But if it helps sometimes I wave at Jeeps and Samurais while in the MINI. I'm pretty much always greeted with a "Who the **** is this guy!" look, whenever it happens.
Agreed that when you are driving is not the place to hold a phone conversation, or type out a text, but I'm guilty of it too. Its just so convienient.

I usually throw a piece sign myself... even to old ladies that look at me like I’m sick or something. (That was a little embarassing)
I used to nod, but it seems to provoke the idiots of society.
I look at it this way... it kinda makes my day when I get a wave, so why not do so for someone else. I think kindness is lacking these days anyway. :-)

But, again you just think you KNOW how to drive and talk on your cell in your hand until you crash because of it... And then, you don't
I felt pretty foolish when I gave a friendly wave to a classic Mini and then cheerily smoked him in a one-sided drag race when I saw the vinyl wrap and realized it was a company car for some storage locker place.
Much to my relief he gave me an enthusiastic wave back, so that was something.

First of all... if almost at 50 I haven’t wrecked my car, I’ll take my chances on the next 30 years I drive.
Second of all, if you or your province choose not to drive while on the phone, then feel free to make your choice but please, don’t come on here like some safety **** preaching about driving while on the phone.
This thread was to make humor of something funny, I don’t need someone turning this into a thread about something else.... either laugh about what I thought was funny or move on.

Whether one is fiddling with a phone or talking to someone by way of a hands-free devise, the mind is distracted. That, I believe, is the greatest danger. I recently heard on a news station that 25% of accidents are caused by distracted drivers. It was bad enough when (before so many people just have to be on the phone so much) alcohol and chemical impairment was the main issue. Now we have both- and I fear possibly both at the same time.
