Maintenance

Mr r56s being my first turbo car, i'm not that experienced with these kind of engines, would it be wise to change the spark plugs at 62000km?

Also, i noticed alot of black residue on my exchaust tips, alot more than other r56s i see on the road. I do drive it hard, i work on the road so i'm always pushing it.

What are some of the things i should do to keep the engine running at its best?

Thanks

not required at such a low mileage.

this is very normal and the others probably just get cleaned more frequently than you clean yours.

read thru the modifications and stock problems/issues sections.

also do seafoam treatments on the car they are explained in both of those sections.

The factory plugs are ILZKBR7A-8G NGK Iridium plugs. They tend to last a really long time. If it worries you with that kind of mileage then pull them and take a look. Make sure that the head is cold before you take any plugs out. The factory installed gap is .031".

Keep up on oil+filter changes, take a look at your air filter, inspect the drive belt, and keep driving the snot out of your car.
