Brake Sensors

Replacing rotors and brakes on my 2007 R56. Do I have to replace the sensors also?

only if it was 'consumed'

the senor is consumed if it goes off - it works by having th rotor wear the tip off and break a wire inside. Once this happens you replace the sensor to get a new wire - or you can disect the old sensor and splice the wire but then you no longer have a functioning sensor, you just tie it out of the way and fool the computer

I'm curious how accurate the brake sensor really is... Last month I had 50,000km to my next brake replacement... Yesterday the computer tells me I only have 15,000km left. The brake pad thickness (without measuring) looks identical on the front and back compared to last month.

I'm hoping the end of lease check in a few months is based on pad thickness, not the stupid computer.
