R56 Is there a way to have hatch and doors unlock automatically?
Is there a way to have hatch and doors unlock automatically?
My R53 did this. Whenever I turned off the car the hatch would be unlocked, I'm pretty sure the doors did as well. On my '11 I am forever having to go back into the car and reach in and unlock the hatch. I have the Comfort Access on my R56 and generally leave the keys in the car when parked in my garage(buried in the bottom of my purse actually), so I don't have the key fob in my hand generally.
Hoping this can be done...

The easiest solution for this problem is to set your car to unlock all doors with the single press of the fob *AND* to not auto lock the car when you start driving. These settings can be found in the BC.
This way, the boot will always be unlocked when the car is unlocked. I was able to tolerate that locked hatch for two days before I started swearing at the thing for always being locked!
There is a much harder and more expensive way to do this is as well, by programing the CAS module to unlock the car when you shut it off by using NCS Expert. Go over the electrical modification section if you are interested.

The easiest and safest solution is to have your doors automatically lock when you take off and remember to flip the unlock switch when you park in the garage. It'll only take 152 times to remember to flip the switch when you park. But you WILL remember.
