How do you get the battery out?

Tristan's battery died this afternoon, after sitting with the engine off and the fan on for about an hour, so I'm thinking it might need to be replaced. I've replaced batteries on other cars before and never had a problem, but I can't see how to get the battery out. Its buried under a plastic bulkhead, and the hole to access the battery isn't big enough to fit the battery. So what's the secret?

Just find the screws that holds it. There's about 3 or 4 I think. Just remember how the panel is sitting when you take it out cause it was a b!tch putting back on.

i took my battery out and cracked the plastic housing. There are 3 bolts that need to be removed, and then the trick is to slide the housing up and out. If you search the forum you will see instructions.

Putting it back is just as tricky...it needs to slide back into position exactly, as the cowling acts as a water shield against the windshield.

I just changed my battery and found that it's a bit easier to get the panel out if you take off the passenger side windshield wiper first.
