CR with white or black top? pictures please?
I'm sooooooooooo excited!!! My partner says we get to order our Mini Memorial day weekend. I've been a member of this forum for a long time and a LONG time luster of Mini's. I've wanted one since '03 and never bit the bullet. At long last I'm going to order one
So I'm torn though. I know I want CR, but white top or black? I think white tops make the car cute but the black top makes it look aggressive. This is what I had in mind:
Ninja edit: I'm getting a Cooper S hard top
CR with black or white top
white or black stripes
Manual of course :D
Xenons
White turn signals
Heated seats (no cold package, I don't care about the other parts in the cold package)
Premium package
JCW appearance package
USB/Bluetooth
I want to add more options but, I'm already at $29,100. I'm not doing the rear fog because I have issues with the non-symmetrical look of the rear fog lights. If you get the rear fogs with the JCW kit, then the passenger side light is clear (for reverse) and the other side is all red. The look bothers me more than not having an extra toggle switch.
I want comfort access, but sheesh, I'm already spending a fortune!
I don't want to run-flats so I'll have to change that out quick, so that will cost some money.
Anyone have pictures of the two side by side? I've looked at pictures for years and follow the "Show me your xxxx" and it's sooo hard!

I say black but I'm biased. I have the now-discontinued Factory Aero Kit, btw.

I'd vote black top. There's something about red + black that just looks great together to me.
I was goign to go with CR w/ black top, but then ended up ordering a JCW and went with the new black w/ red top. So I went inverse of it, but still kept the that red/black combo going. It just looks good together imho.

I vote black top and mirrors......trim your bonnet stripes in white and add black rims and it will look awesome. I wrapped my headlight rings and grill in gloss black vinyl to make it look even more "mean."
I want the Hella 1000 Smokey Flat driving lights to complete the look.
Here are a couple pics of "Whistler" at the Dragon last week...as taken by the roadside photographers

Greetings AXO,
I saw photos of your Cooper posted on
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...es-please.html
Can you send me a link to the source of the towing eye(s) on your Cooper?
Thanks and regards,

I vote for white and thought I would throw out a practical reason to consider....I live in Las Vegas, NV and all cars that sit out in the summer get hotter than blazes but I believe the white roof helps hold it down a bit. I don't know what the summers are like where you live but it might be worth considering. Most important thing is your preference, the car should make you smile every time you look at it and only you can decide that!

Save yourself some money, ditch the sunroof. Seriously, I had to buy a zippy shade to try to keep the car from being an oven, and now I might as well have not gotten it.
CR/ black/black wheels, piano black trim, rooster red color line, black cloth sports seats, anthracite headliner, boot and bonnet sport stripes, wing lip...
White wheels would really suck.

Hi!
I agree that both black and red look great, but my choice would be white. Reasons being, black shows dust like you wouldn't believe. Also, you'll be driving your MINI during Midwest summers, and we know how miserably hot that can be. White will be cooler overall, as it reflects sunlight while black absorbs it.
As for the latter, what do I know... I have a white top, but it's basically a rim around the sunroof.
Cheers, and enjoy your MINI,
Spridget

I know this comes down to personal preference and it's so HAAARD! I just left the Mini dealer a few minutes ago and I was checking out the various color combos. I should stay away from that place. It just confuses me with so many options, LOL. I want it all. I want a Mini in ever color, in every color combination.
Oh, and I want the sunroof because I like sunroofs. I know I'll bake in there, but I'm getting the roof tinted down to 5% so that should help some. I can roll down the windows to vent it
