Leftover 2010, price ok?

Just got a new mini s, 2010. Pepper with bonnet stripes. Traded in 04 mini that had been in two accidents. Total cost was 21K USD, added the tire protection for 3 years/36k miles. Sport pkg but no cold weather pkg. Upgraded stereo. Leather interior. Bottom line as it started out at 28,352 and it cost me 22,400 plus my old mini.

Doesn't sound like too bad of a deal. Does the 28K include tax? When you mention the cost to you, that's how much the new MINI cost right, not including the trade? Sounds like there might be a few other options other than the sport pkg and harmon-kardon stereo too.

Sounds like a fairly high price to me.

I know it was used and a 2009, but I paid about $2000 less than you did for a pretty loaded factory JCW with 11,000 miles on it.

I paid that much for a 2011 mcs with trade in. MSRP was same as the 2010 though.

Sorry, but why do you need us to make you feel better. You must have thought it was a good deal, you made it!

Without seeing all the actual numbers, and seeing what the car you traded was like, NOBODY can give you any real opinion.

One thing I've learned over my 54 years is, if you traded a car in, you probably got screwed. You can always make a better deal if you don't trade anything in. (unless you have a very high in demand used car like a Prius... Now why anyone would buy a used one of those is beyond me, but dealers are paying premiums for them...)

So the dealer gave you $5952 for your '04 ? Possibly, not bad for an '04 that has been thru two accidents.

There are two types of car buyers, payment and price. Depending on which one you are plays a big part and what you see a a good deal.
