R56 Another Cold Start Question

Another Cold Start Question
I did a search and I read multiple threads regarding this cold start/ timing chain issue, but can't seem to find a satisfactory answer.
My 07 MCS I just purchased had the chain done at 55k miles and now it has 79k (done approx. 1 year ago). I am hearing a difference in cold engine sound vs. warm engine sound, with a little more knocking when cold. I know these engines are a bit louder when cold, claiming oil issue to top of motor (read from threads), but how much louder is acceptable. I don't have a lawn mower sound when reving, just a little increased knocking and valvetrain noise. Is everyones R56 MCS a little louder at cold than warm?
Just trying to assess if I need to bring it back to dealership for repair. Thanks!

mine sounds like holy hell when i first start it. it's almost a bit embarrassing getting into your brand new car and having it sound like my 83 honda when I start it.
I've also noticed a significant lack of acceleration if the car is still somewhat cold. It seems like if i dont warm it up for 20 mins it runs like crap.
