Hi,

I noticed that my 07 MCS doesn't have one touch up windows, but one touch down. Is that normal? Also noticed that the sunroof toggle when pressed to the first point of resistance still fully opens as opposed to just tilting.

I'm taking the car to the dealer Monday and wonder whether I should include those. It's going for the driver's seat heater burning my *** off when it's just at its lowest setting... weird.

Save yourself a trip. I believe it is all normal.

The one-touch down, but not up, is normal for 2007. They added one-touch up in later models, but that requires a safety sensor (to prevent decapitation) so it would be difficult/expensive/impossible to add to 2007.

Don't have a sunroof, so not sure on that one.

The seat heater starts out at full for a specific amount of time, then drops to the setting you have selected. I guess they want to take the chill off quickly and then maintain your desired temp. Having spent a Christmas in Germany, I can understand their thinking.

 

Thanks a lot Robin!!! To be honest, the one touch up function is very frustrating at times. I don't understand what they were thinking! My 05 BMW had it, and we're talking about a 2007 car! I wonder why they couldn't fit it that resistance thing where the window jumps back down...

As for the sunroof question, all is in working condition, at least from factory! Haha. There is a module you can buy that will make it basically one touch. Same goes for the auto up windows if I'm correct, could be wrong though. Someone else might be able to back me up on this? I just remember seeing an auto for the sunroof, and windows up somewhere! That's not what I meant When you toggle sunroof switch in either direction, there are two points of resistance. In 2011 the first one activated tilt, while the full press opened the sunroof completely. In my car, it doesn't matter whether I press it only halfway, it opens altogether...
