R56 New R56 Guy Here
New R56 Guy Here
Hey guys I'm new to the land of Mini's, just thought I'd give a quick intro since I'll be seeking advice from this database of knowledge.
I've been in the BMW community for a while now and I strategically planted subliminal messages into my girlfriends thoughts and as a result she has now bought herself a great condition 07 MCS, it's a 6speed Astro Black Metallic with 33k miles, so luckily we still get the warranty, I say we because it came with 2 key fobs and she thinks it only had one. Don't worry, I'll give them to her eventually...maybe. Anyhow, it's been sitting in my garage for 2 days now and admittedly I have done a little research and have decided to spend some chips on some engine enhancements for her.
Here's what I'll be ordering in the next week. Chime in with your opinions in regards to the parts choices:
NM Discharge Pipe
NM Air Charge Pipe
M7 Heat Shield
DDM Gen2 RIS
I'm looking into gas evacuation, software and tuning currently
Also picked up a JCW Black Grill, and a bunch of other shadowline trim
I usually build a car with the suspension first, but I want to unleash some easy power with respect to the nature of the forced induction. I'm going to let her burn through the runflats and then pick up a set of larger wheels and performance rubber, and go through the suspension.
I'm pretty stoked that I get to teach her how to use tools and DIY. I'm hoping that this gives her some drive to hit up BMWCCA events with me in her own car and tear up some tires.
I come from the oldskool BMW scene so this will be a learning experience for me as well, I'm looking forward to searching through the forum.
I only have the pics from the online ad, but I'll take a few of my own now that I did a full detail on it.

Thanks, yup she drove it 150 miles home, and we're going to hit up the local canyons tomorrow night!
I think the previous owner drove it with white gloves. That car looks brand new from the pictures. Here's a link to help you track down some parts: http://soopercooperinfo.com/lindaminidiy11-09.html
