Hello my white silver comrades,
I am looking to change my hood scoop on my car and I want to know what ya'll think if I were to change it to chrome with all my other chrome pieces besides my front grille(it is black) or this http://www.outmotoring.com/notch-style-hood-scoop.html , it is called the black notch style. Please let me know what you guys think, I think it looks fantastic especially with the black trim on my front grille.

 

never been a fan of the chrome scoops, but that's a matter of personal opinion. I am interested in seeing more pics of the one from Out Motoring, one thagt shows the whole front end of the car. I like that the mesh style matches the main grille but not sure if I like the overall shape. but again, that's going to be a matter of personal opinion.

Yeah I know, I think I have finally come to a conclusion and I will go with black stripes coming down the middle. That should look great with my mesh scuttles and black grille trim. I feel like the chrome scoop is adding too much chrome and the black notch scoop looks to toyish for my baby to have on it. Thanks for your help though!

You all have lovely cars! I am considering going with the white silver but I seem to be the only person who likes this car with white stripes. What do you guys think? Would this be weird? I found one old Mini with this look, but the silver is more true silver.

 

I think white stripes would look great, I did an inverted contrast with the black and silver white

That looks really nice. Great idea with in-versing the stripes. So is the color closer to white or closer to silver? In this pic it looks more silver. When I saw one in person, I remember it looking more white. I don't think that the dealer near my house has one anymore for me to check in person. I keep looking for one when out driving, but so far no luck.

 

It looks more white under bright sunlight, otherwise, it's a very fine light metallic silver. Here's a photo comparing it to another vehicle with a standard silver color (and, coincidentally, a white roof!):

 

OK, so it's silver in the same way that the pepper white is cream colored. Thanks for the picture.

Mini makes a white silver roof strip for the coupe, so I ordered a set and had them install.

I see you have MD tags. Where do you live? I also have the same color (2011 MCSa) and am in Baltimore County (Pikesville). I am looking for a motoring buddy. You also said "One-Touch Sunroof, Window & Sunroof Close from Fob". Does the 2012 come with those features or is there some mod that I can do to get that functionality? Please let me know...I hate having to hold the sunroof button to open the roof all the way. I can get my windows to open with the fob but not close.

 

I'm in Columbia, but I work in Baltimore. Love go out for drives. I'm planning on heading down to Waldorf next month for the Autocrosser's Inc event at Blue Crab Stadium, if you're interested.

Regarding the sunroof & fob, those are NCS Expert software mods. It's a little fiddly to get it working, but check out the NCS Expert Beginner's Thread if you're so inclined.
