Not to demean the turbos, but did you bother contacting Bob Steigmier and asking him if he could tweak your supercharger with one of his magical port jobs? But I think the 1.6L does have its limits. I'm shopping for a used mini right now, and have driven a few over the years including a real old Cooper with (I think) a Cosworth setup. Not mine but a friend I knew back when in the UK midlands. These cars are all about driving/handling and I would think they are not a match for the "Fast & Furious" types LOL. Just my $ .02.

 

This whole the 1.6l is a limited motor is ridiculous apparently no one here has ever seen a 1.6 cranking 400hp+ there are Hondas that do it all the time. I just think that thought is what is holding us back and it needs to stop.

exactly what i been trying to say i think the ecu is a big thin thats holding it back...from what i read
but you can get on any honda sight and see SOHC d16 and d15 push monster numbers...alot of guys run like 9-14lbs of boost and push 400+ easy...

i just dont understand if we are a 1.6 DOHC on 12-17 psi and we cant even break 300 lol
...im sure someones gonna chime in with unneeded comments but honestly!
you can take a honda 1.8L through in a cam/exhaust/intake/tune and that things a screamer!
i know that my R56 is no where near what my b18c was...and they are almost identical in Hp....i dont understand and its turbo lol
off spray my b18c would eat these R56 for breakfast!

something needs to be done so we can get more GO out of these cars lol..
and no its not about fast and the furious **** lol
i hardly ever street race ima canyon runner and always will be(thats why i bought a mini)
but you know what its kinda nice to know if you feel like running over a srt or evo here and there then you can...**** i know alot of you guys would have the biggest smile knowing you just kicked a 2.4L tubro cars ***....
