Thanks a lot! I really appreciate how nice and helpful everyone has been!

So far I am having a blast, though, I don't do nearly as much driving as I would like.

[quote=luthientier;3061367]Thanks a lot again for all the great advice!

I think I will still try to get a MINI as soon as I can.

But, I definitely think I'm going to stop letting my MA pressure me and put a time limit on when I can order. As in, I am not going to place my order today buddy, because I do not feel comfortable doing it.

Surfblue responds: You seem to be dealing with an MA and possibly a dealership that you should lose and move on. You are under no obligation to do business with this pressure salesman. Lose him. I speak from 22 years of professional national sales experience. Sales people are a dime a dozen. I can say that because I was one for most of my life. LOSE THAT MA. Figure out what YOU want, and order it. Take no guff from these swine. Their job is to give you what you want. If an MA pulled that stuff on me, I'd find his boss and give him hell, then I'd walk out and go to another dealer.

haha It's ok.

I did what I wanted, and stopped caring about what my MA thought.

Honestly, I still think he was rather worthless. I think he knew the things he needed to know to sell a MINI, but otherwise, I think I had more knowledge about MINI's just from reading this site.

I mean, he never even told me about breaking in the MINI. Thankfully I knew it already. When I was being shown the gas cap where it says to use top tier, he told me that sure it says that but you can use whatever gas you want.

I found the finance manager to be far more helpful than my MA. She seemed to actually have a passion for the MINI

Isn't it sad when you, as a customer, have more knowledge about a product, in this case the Mini, than the person that is suppose to be selling the Mini jto you? In my case, my point man/salesman in Omaha, he admits that I have more information on the new 2011's than he does. I told him to go to Motoringfile.com and check it out for himself. He told me on Friday, that he gets more from me and Motoringfile, than he has from his boss. He knows that I'm not doing anything until the new 2011's come out, as I have a lase to contend with, and he's not pushy. But, he said that they are under the guy to sell the Mini's on had. They one of the lucky dealers with not much inventory, however.

Nice buy there, you did well. I like black wheels too.

Congrats and best of luck! Can't wait to get my dark silver mini in a few weeks. It's been a while since I checked in on this post and am truly glad things worked out for you.

Thanks!

The funny thing is, my husband is a JEEP man. After riding and driving my MINI, he's is already thinking of selling his JEEP to get a JCW Clubman, that's what he wants anyways.
