R56 Pepper White Pictures
Hi ftttubrcm, yes i commented on your MCS picture. Nevertheless, your MCS looks awesome with those black crowns! I wanted those crown spokes, but after finding out the wheel weight, i gave up the idea. I have the 15 inch 6 spoke stock wheels, supposedly they only weight 15+ lbs, those crown spokes weight over 22 lbs. I did run my MC on a set of 17 inch s-lites for a thousand miles before, my fuel mileage dropped down to mid 30s compared to the low 40s right now. If i can find some light weight 17, i'd definitely go for them.
I have been on several MINI runs where I had to travel over some really rough terrain at a moment's notice. If I wasn't in a pack of MINIs, I would have slowed down and gone through those areas far slower. But because I will continue to do these runs, I probably won't lower it. If I ever do, it would be the least amount necessary for a noticeable handling benefit.
Also, the crown spokes are on the heavy side but will have to do until I hit the lottery. Mrs. Purse Strings cringes any time I bring up mods.

The headlight and taillight trims can be handled a few ways. They can also be vinyl wrapped (again, see Vinyl Styles) or capped with injected plastic (Aesthetic Creations). There's also the option of having them painted (either blacked out or to match your body color, both are popular) - some folks have even used Plastidip (a rubberized product, normally used for applying new rubber grips onto tools). Check out the modifications forum for details on most of this.
