so..my mcs has 500 miles on it and i want to do an oil change. however..i asked 4 different dealers on the oil i should be using..and they all gave me different answers. i was told to use mobil oil only... (which i dont have a problem with since thats the only oil i use). the weight was different though. i was told 5-30, 0-40, 0-20 (which is what i use on my pick up truck), and 5w-40. I was wondering what people run their engines on..and how much oil they use every change. I live in the cold btw..(new england).

And wheres the oil filter located?? i cant find it...

 

Either use the euro formula Castrol 5W-30 that the factory uses and recommends (and can be purchased from the dealer), or if you're going to go with Mobil 1 (my personal choice too), then the recommended oil is the 0W-40 formula.

Castrol 0w30 oil and Mobil1 0W40 are the European Formula which are true synthetic.
