R56 New or Used? Thoughts?
My two cents -
I was looking for a new Generation MINI, anything, new/used/demo, and could not find one that had what I wanted. When push came to shove I ordered the car the way I wanted. Yeah, it was a couple of bucks more than a used/demo, but it came the way I wanted it. I even got the chance to test drive various cars with various options, to help determine exactly what I wanted.
If you have a year of looking, figure out what you want on the car. You'll get to know, which packages, equipment, colors, etc. that do it for you. If you can't find the car you want, order a new one from the dealer that you like. (I will not advertise for one vs another, although I've had some exceptionally mediocre dealings with a couple.)
If car sales are still a bit slow next year, then you may be able to get a great interest rate on a new one. (Yes, I did that.)
