While I have been waiting for my Mini to be built and delivered(next week), I have bought a few minor mods. First I ordered a full set of good quality coco mats. Then I ordered a 4" antenna from Alta. First real mod will be Valentine 1 hard wire. After its been here a few months I'm going to order a set of Breyton wheels. Last this year before the end of the year it will be full JCW suspension.

I will be replacing the exhaust with a Borla Cat-back system, K&N CAI and the NM downpipes. What should I expect as far as performance? How will it effect boost? This is my first Turbo. Is my scanguage sufficient to monitor boost or do I need to look at something else?

I have done lots of mods to my car and I always think about doing more. I have a 09 JCW. Do i really need a downpipe? Or coilovers?

I would say drive the car for a few thousand miles and make small modifications over time.

There are tons of topics here on NAM with good advice and bad advice too.

Never change more than one performance variable at a time!

I'd say to change multiple things at once if you'll save time and/or money on labor. For example, I would install an entire turbo back exhaust instead of doing it in pieces. Suspension too, since you usually need alignments after you do anything and labor is often the same price to install springs or springs + shocks + sways, ect.

May as well do it all at once, but in a perfect world, I'd agree that it would be ideal to do one thing at a time.

1. Oil catch can. Cheap and it should reduce carbon deposits on the intake 2. I'd suggest an Alta accessport ECU tuner next. It will noticeably increase power and you can download new ECU maps as you do additional mods. When you've upgraded the car a lot it might be worth getting a custom RMW tune for the Accessport.
3. nm springs and swaybar. If you plan to be a track rat maybe step up to coilovers but for a little lowering with a nice ride the nm springs are a good choice. If you plan to do camber plates, it would make sense to do them during the spring install.
4. Dos or DDM CAI
5. Turboback or catback depending on your bias for power vs loudness/drone

The brakes and tires can wait until you need to replace them anyway. When you change the tires, non-runflats will improve the ride. You can upgrade brake lines and rotors when you do the brakes.

Got all those except the first two. That is until they both come in delivery! Should be a good summer...

Back seat head rest mod. (removed the stop rings).
V1 hard wire.
Coco Mats.

Considering:
Boot stripes.
Wiring rear fogs with brake lights mod.
Would really like a short shifter.

Hello I am looking into getting a performance chip for my R56 mini. What would be the best choice for a reasonable price?

Why is this one 900$ and some are 100$? What if I don't have that kind of money? What would be a better choice?

any chip/tune you see of 100 is a gimmick. Dont by/buy it. The accessport does cost a few bucks but it is well worth it, and when you decide to move on from the MINI brand you can sell it and recoup most of your money for it.

Car arrived on the 2nd. I immediately pulled the pins and stops on the rear headrests and installed 4"Alta shorty antenna and coco mats. Since then I have ordered:

1. matching coco trunk mat
2. V1 hardwire kit(had to reorder--first was trashed by USPS)
3. 19 mm H-Sport rear bar (decided against JCW suspension)
4. NM torque arm insert

After having an auto loaner S for a week so far, tires would be definitely be #1. Stock run flats are horrible!
