r56 OEM driving light kit help

ok so i thought i follwed the instructions, yet when i turned on my lights, nothing happened, my regular headlights were on, but no driving lamps, so i turned on the high-beams, only one works. what the hell did i do? does any one have pictures of the wires you put together, particularly A1,A11,and A12.

and if you have a picture of A5, i figured this is a ground? i hooked it up under the fuse box to another ground i saw, im not sure if was the correct one

They only come on with the high beams, so that part is working correctly. You probably have a loose connection to the one light that isn't working.

Correct
They ONLY come on with the high beams.

If ONE light is coming on, you succussfully connected A1, A11 and A12, the ground A4 BROWN (attach to bolt UNDER the fuse box) and power A5 RED/BLUE (connected to BIG red wire in fuse box). Sounds like a bad connection AT the light.

If one works, you have one of several problems and check them in THIS order

Working from the lights back
  • Reversed connection at the light (check your connections)
  • Loose connection at the light (make sure they are pushed all the way into the black housings and they CLICKED into place
  • You should have POWER on one lead when the HB's are on and the switch is depressed. The other is a Ground and you will not get power.
  • Control Module bad or not insterted all the way(check connections here as well, the HOT color will be the same HOT color as you tested on the light end) you should have POWER at both these when the HB's are on and switch is depressed.
  • If your getting all power and still NOTHING...
  • Burnt out bulb.
IF it is a bulb, you will need a Security Torx to get the screw out to change the bulb. I don't understand why MINI put a security Torx on a bulb! but they did!

Hope this helps!
I have a different issue with my driving lights, and it looks like it is centered around 2010 models only. you can see it here...
