I have an oil service due in about a week per the OBC and my annual service due in June! Love MINI's efficiency.

You do not need to reset the obc after an oil change. The dealership will reset it when you bring your mini in for its scheduled maintenance.

Tmini08 is right on this point

You still want to bring it in when the computer tells you to or after a year is up because the dealer will replace all filters, change the oil & oil filter, inspect the car for any wear & tear ETC. After they are finished they will reset it. My dealer put mine up on the lift and checked everything on the underside of my car as well as under the hood. They will also check for any codes that may have shown up.

I still change my oil between dealer service myself.

You probably should not reset the counter if you are under the MINI maintenance program.
