It's going from bad to worse...

 

That's the Countryman's dash, not the 2011 refresh dash.. no pictures of that have surfaced yet. But there are probably clues here as to some of the changes coming, like black instead of silver elements in the center stack, and a switch to hard drive based nav.

 

That speedo is getting to be less and less useful. Why show 200+ KPH/MPH when the majority of us will live in the bottom 1/3 of that range?

 

They're showing a Euro-spec car, hence the primary units are KPH.

200 KPH is approx 120 MPH...

 

The only things that interest me are the black controls and the MINI Connected. I really like that black, I'm trying to think about how feasible it would be to paint them myself. The only problem would be re-labeling I think.

 

There's something around the outside of the bezel but the quality of the image makes it unreadable (or maybe it's my aging eyes that's doing that). It looks like MPH but I can't be sure. Regardless, it runs up to 260KPH which is 160MPH.... Better I suppose.

looks like MCS is getting Countryman like front bumper with two big brake cooling ducts.

 

The refresh is probably going to determine whether I get a MCS or GTI. I like the exterior of the Mini more but the interior of the GTI is much nicer so I'm hoping the refresh has some good interior changes. I really wanted Connaught Green but I would like to see how the new BRG looks.

 

Look at the pictures again - it shows the refreshed tail lights...

 

I think all you're seeing is the reflection of the speedo markings on the chrome bezel.

 

ROFL, that dash is awful!

 

Does anyone know how much the price is going to go up for next years models??
