Nice ride. I love that 135i, especially in white. I'm thinking about selling my MINI within a year... but I'm thinking GP.

Interesting - the 2009 MCS's I've driven (without sport suspension) have a smoother ride than my 135 (with sport suspension). This is the primary reason I'm ditching my 135 - the sport suspension/run flats/convertible setup is not a winning combination IMO.
Seems like just ditching the runflats would be more cost effective, I've never owned a car with them but all the car forums I have been on, owners of BMW's and MINIs with them rave about how transformed the ride and handling was when they ditched the runflats.

I guess depreciation is low on the 135 though, or maybe you are lease end?

I guess I'll never know. I traded that $#*!@ in yesterday. I didn't like the car enough to go that route. With that suspension, I can't imagine the switch to regular tires making more than a slight difference. There's no way it would have resolved all the shaking, vibrations, squeaks, rattles, etc. BMW should be ashamed for producing such a POS.

Happy to be in my new MINI!

Depreciation on ALL BMWs in the first 2 years is horrendous. At 2 years you can expect about 55% of the original sticker price on a trade in.

Only had it 4 days now but lovin it! Not a creak or a rattle and it seems nicely put together(no less than a 3 or 5 series). Still breaking it in but it moves out real good and is much more comfortable over bumpy terrain. The Sport seats are 8 way adjustable with lumbar support and are the best car seat I ever sat in. I bought it outright as I usually keep my cars for years and Im not that concerned with depreciation. Sorry you had a bad time with yours, enjoy the new Mini.

Nice looking ride. The impression I get is the 128/135 is sort of like the 3 series was 15-20 years ago size-wise. My buddy has a 328 and it's kind of porky compared to my old 325 (1988) imo. This may be the way to go if you aren't into driver isolation. I bet the seats are great. My 325 seats were so good I still remember them. The Mini's are good but those were great, and they weren't even electric. Now get some Cocomats and ditch those ugly rubber things.

Nice looking car. The hard top is much sweeter looking than the convertible I saw on the road today. The guy driving it looked crammed in it.

Sorry, but I have to say:
I just traded my 2009 Mini S in on a new car. I got a 2010 BMW 135i to replace it. The Mini served me well but my wife has a herniated disc in her neck(prior accident) and the small car with S handling hurt her to much. Im also used to a car with more HP. The 135i has a softer ride and has HP+.
Is this really a car to help her or a new toy for you! I'm sure a big roomy car, plush riding car, with more HP, like the 135 will help her plenty. Really!

Its only about 150lbs lighter but more importantly for me is, I dont need or want a 3 Series that can fit 5 people. The smaller size is more sporty and tossable. I enjoy driving it better. The seats are the best I ever sat in. I just got those matts from BMW, they aint the prettiest but the car is my new DD and need to protect against rain and snow. Whats Cocomats?
