Rule #1 mini owner must wave at all passing mini's if said owner fails to wave and give a grin or hint of a smile the offending owner is a real sourpuss of the world

 

On a pit stop out on the Mojave, I came out to my MINI and found a sweet elderly lady staring at my car and grinning big time. Told me she'd always wanted a MINI and that mine was the prettiest she'd ever seen. Not exactly a wave, but I'll DEFINITELY TAKE IT!!!
PS: She loaned me her grin on a permanent basis.

 

I love it when children in school busses pull up next to me and call all the others to look over at my car at the window. They wave, I wave back.
I may not be a huge fan of kids, but it's always just too cute when they get excited like that

(for the record I wave at every MINI I see, even if I'm not in my MINI)

 

I find this very true, and more often than not, women MINI owners, atleast in my area, do not wave back or look at me like I'm a psychopath.

 

I went for an afternoon drive down the Andalucian coastline the other day and got a random wave from a BMW person. I've also been getting a lot of waves and wave-backs lately on the base i work at. I think i played a major role in bringing the wave back to Rota.

 

I parked next to a yellow Cooper yesterday, and as she was pulling out, I was almost at my door. I mentioned that I thought she had a really cute car. She apologized for its being so dirty. I had to point out that the laser blue MCS next to hers wasn't that clean either. I don't think she realized that another Copper had parked next to hers.

Sigh

 

You should have taken her keys, then her MINI would have a Proper Owner!! BTW...was she Blonde??!!

 

Laser Blue MCSs tend to be much faster than all other known types of Coopers, so therefore get dirty faster, we can't wash our cars everyday!

 

I saw a MINI on the way home from work both Thursday and Friday, different MINIs each day. I "beep"ed and waved to each, and they waved back. Ahh, good times...

 

 

I almost always wave, my wife has given up. Our dealership actually put a postcard in our car after some service with the proper etiquette of Mini ownership- referring to the wave.

Maybe we (us here on NAM) should make some kind of sticker or something that shows we are a waver to other Mini's that will also wave.

Actually got my first official wave yesterday driving home as opposed to the one nod I got last time.

Looks like we found a winner! What if waver's got something like "", and non-wavers got that decal- maybe along with a ....Stealth like of course, we don't want them ripping their new branding off to quickly.

I did catch myself waving to a Mini from my huh-hum...other car... Not surprised I didn't get a wave back.....or even a look.

 

I had couple waves at me but not being able to wave back... Had my hand on gearlever and the other on wheel and it annoys me very much that this pretty girl in same color mini flash, wave, and horn at me, and all I can do is make threats to the escalade next to me for blocking my view at traffic!

Must.... Learn... The Force..... Automatic Force shifter!

 

After a couple more minutes thought....yes, maybe the decal is the lone winner....since it's a decal, it can go just in the window, right? No paint damage??

 

I do believe a nod and smile adequately substitute a wave.

I've moved recently, and while there are a TON more MINIs here...there aren't many wavers/blink-ers/nodders. I really get pissed when I see a MINI driver driving recklessly with a cell phone attached to their ear. Get off the phone and WAVE!!!!!

 

I've been doing more waving again. I've noticed more waves back lately. This morning a woman driving a white one and yesterday a woman in a blue one waved back. Maybe they just thought I was flirting, but I got the wave non the less.

 

My husband got his MCS DS this past Sunday and we're super jazzed. We now wave at each other when we leave the house.

 

 

I flashed my key yesterday.

I was walking downtown & while crossing the street, a BRG justa with driving lights & stripes stopped at the light right next to the Dunkin'.

She let a few people out & when I got to the front of her car, I waved with my key in my hand. She smiled & nodded. Made me happy & made her smile, so all is good
