Ordered my Cooper today!

Just got back from Greensville, SC at Century MINI placing my order for my Chili Red/Black Cooper. Now, I just need to figure out what to do with myself between now and August 1st!

Totally psyched!

Rightly so!!! Waiting for a MINI is something of an artform...it has meant the undoing of many around here. Hang out on NAM and obsess away....that is normal.

The only thing you really can do to feed the obsession is track your MINI as it gets built and shipped, and post away

In MHO, deferred gratification is the sweetest kind. Welcome to NAM-land. There's much MINI info here & many friendly people here to help you get thru the waiting period. Good choice & good luck with the wait.

Welcome to one of the longest waits you'll ever have! But what the heck...it really IS worth it! I ordered last June and picked the MINI up on the next to last day of August. Most of the wait really wasn't too bad (oh sure, I obsessed on here a little). However, the last couple weeks were kind of grueling. But in the end, it was all worth it.

I suggest you complete any chores you think you might be doing once your MINI arrives...you WON'T be doing much besides Motoring!

Well, Plant Oxford has been compared to birth.
Waiting on the dock = infancy/protection-mode
Sailing across the sea = school w/ chums
VDC = preparations for the real world
Delivery = Let's Do This!!!

I'm awaiting my second MINI and am spending the gestation scouring the web and laying in gee-gaw items, like checkered center hub caps, a euro arm rest, a fresnel lens that sticks to the windscreen so I can see when the stop light goes green without having to hunch forward, and the like. Playing with the idea of a ScanGauge II at the moment. Got a towing lunette with the Pull To Inflate sticker. Shift ****. Racoon tail for the antenna.

It seems that shopping is a comfort. (Wife taught me that.)

Congrats. The wait was the worst part for me. But that day when you get the call that it is in is the best feeling. When i got the call i still had to wait a week as i was waiting on a bonus check from work to put a little extra down. My MA was very understand. They wanted me to pick up the car ASAP but if i remember correctly he "lost" some paper work so i had a few extra days plus i was working like crazy and just didn't have time to stop down and get it.

What options did you get?

I got the following options:

Fog lights - front and rear
Sport seats
Center Armrest
10 speaker hifi
Black bonnet stripes
Premium package
Cold weather package ( I know, I'm in Georgia, BUT the heated seats ROCK)
Convenience package

That's all....

I thought the last line would have been 'Conjugal union of two spirits.'

"Let's Do This!!!" sounds like some sort of awkward pickup line.
