I'm looking to buy a used 2008 MINI Cooper S with the HIFI Stereo. My question is how can I visually identify wheter or a MINI has HIFI? I've seen some MINIs with a bright silver ring around the front speakers and some with a dark silver ring; what does this mean, if anything? Thank you for your help.

 

Very easy - just look for the tweeters integrated into the base of the 'A' pillar on either side of the front windscreen.

No tweeters - no HiFi.

 

....will have a very small tweeter speaker in each of them on the Hi-Fi. There is no speaker in those columns in the regular audio.

There may be other differences, but that is how I identify the Hi Fi vs. the base audio.
