Help me decide on a new wheel....

Well my OEM run-'craps' are down to their last few thousand miles and I will be upgrading to 17's and non-runflats later this summer. I have narrowed the wheels that I like to two but I am undecided as to which would look best. Let me hear your opinions on these two pictured below. 'Nigel' is CR/B and I am in the process of converting the chrome bits to body color. Also a tire recommendation would be appreciated as well. I am thinking about a UHP All Season as I connot afford right now to purchase a set of snows too. Thanks for you a opinions

Unless you have painted calipers or big brembo brakes or something, I would shy away from rims that have so much open space. That is just my opinion. I like both of those rims, but if I had to pick for your car the ones at the top would suit it best.

It would also be easy to paint the silver parts of those spokes on those rims Chili Red. They would look like colour inserts. The black on those rims would compliment the black on your car as well. If you are getting away from the "chrome look" as you mentioned by painting things, I would not get silver rims.

Hard to make a bad choice considering both rims are quite eye catching! My vote is for the first ones. (brake dust will not be as evident on those ones either!!!)

not a fan of either of those two but the first is better than the second

and the brakes look just fine behind them. it is SO nice being able to clean every inch of wheel inside and out with ease

+1 on the Konig Hotswaps! I've seen these on MINIs and they look great!

They are both sweet looking but I don't think that they will look right on the MINI. look with something with a lip and a dark color or something that might match on the car.

Please read this and call Meg at MINI.

Then call the folks that sell the wheels, sell aftermarket suspensions, etc. Ask them to call Meg and ask what's up.
See, I didn't know how dangerous aftermarket wheels and tires were until MINI told me. Thanks, MINI; thanks for saving me from myself and these horrible companies that sell us death wheels.
