How to get rid of the chrome???

I was just wondering what you guys use in order to get rid of the chrome around the front grille, headlights, and taillights. I noticed alot of people do this but have not come up with whether you guys paint the chrome, buy parts from a third party, or even buy them from mini. I apologize if this has been covered.

Thanks!

black tape.
plasti-dip.

2 of the cheapest methods.

buying black parts would be expensive & silly.

I'm going the plastidip route. Its rubber coating so it peels off if you ever want to hit the big "undo" button. I also like that its a flat black.

Had the same question this morning, DIY with Plasti-Dip. Nice step by step instructions with tons of pictures.
