Question on toggle switches

I'm finally ordering my MINI after fighting with the wife over it to the brink of divorce. Needless to say, she hates the car. But that's another story. I drove one at the dealership with all of the options like the one I'm ordering with the exception of the Rear foglamps. The toggle panel had 2 empty switches. The 2 on the outside were for the windows and the one in the middle was for the door locks. What other options can I get to have all the switched on the panel?

I would highly suggest rear fog lamps, (it's only a $100 option, plus it's a good safety measure) to fill those switches, but with the exception of that, all other switches should be filled up. 2 for windows, 1 for front fog lights, 1 for locks, and 1 for rear fog lamps. Right?

The one I drove had front fog lamps, but they just came on when the headlamps were turned on. I made sure to check. Is there a possibility that the dealer just installed them that way?

What you saw was strictly the Daytime Running Lights (DRL's) they remain on always. In order to have Front Fog Lights you will have another Toggle Switch in the Toggle Bank that you will have to operate manually in order for the Front Fog Lights to turn on. The Front Fog Light is a separate light in the same housing as the DRL's those that did not order it as an option simply have a black plastic cover in place of the actual light.

Hope this helps.

D-I-V-O-R-C-E-S can get Expensive!!
So what's the wife's beef with the car??
Did you let her get behind the wheel during the Test Drive??
If not, I would suggest you make another appointment for a Test Drive and let her drive a MINI. (Can you guess I'm a Female), the MINI is MY Baby, the Hubby inherited my '01 Dodge Durango!!

And it is certainly understanable if she hates the car because you spend more time with it than you will with her. Not in my case, I just spent both Saturday and Sunday detailing Molly (she'll be a Year Old on the 5th), Hubby just likes seeing me Happy and when Molly is all finished I let him come out and admire my hard work.

BTW, we commute in Molly, so he drives Molly everyday too, in fact more 'cause I'm the one he drops off and then he goes another 4 or so miles to work.

Um, how could you hate a MINI, and then be satisfied with a car like, let's say, a Cobalt LS?

I don't understand people. Maybe she comes from Rolls-Royces or something. The MINI is tons better than pretty much every small car... great speed, great mileage... what more do you want?

My wife didn't want me to buy my first MINI. She was worried about the safety pf such a small car with all of the SUVs and trucks on the road. She was eventually won over though, and now she wants a Clubman S for herself...

Everybody hates the Mini until you look at the Mini. Then you empty your bank accounts.
