I posted my exp before. I was in for routine service around October, about when this replacement tip thing started out. I got my car back and looked at it and it looked the same so I asked the guy when they were gonna start replacing them. He said they did mine already (?). I said thanks. I've never received a letter. Maybe they took me off the mailing list because I did it very early. You can't tell the difference. A pal was wrestling our golf bags out of my car once an accidently touched the tailpipe. Didn't leave a burn but there's really no reason not to replace them that I can see. They look the same, perform the same, and are safer. No brainer for me. Some get all **** about it but it has nothing to do with the tailpipes themselves, I get that now.

Did you not see the picture? You can not tell the difference. If you're still that concerned, take your old ones off before you go in for service, have them put the new (SHINY) ones on. If you don't like them, put the old ones back on. It's just that simple...

The posted picture looks better than the one I saw, You could just barely see the pipes, had me wondering if it would melt the lower panel too.....
