Can I run new wheels without tire sensors?

I'm planning on running non RF tires on aftermarket rims. I'm assuming the only drawback will be an illuminated low pressure warning on the dash. Am I correct in thinking this?

Yes. But from what I understand it will throw the TPMS light in your car. There's a but load of thread about this in the tire/wheel section. You can look there for more details.
