if you haven't already seen this sticky, you should take a look at it:

the wait makes its arrival sweeter! the only alternative to waiting is buying off the lot, which is not inherently a bad choice--just not the right one for many of us.
Unfortunately the ship my car is on never gets or reports weather. So I have not been able to track this ship at all. The ship my wifes car was on I was able track very easily ever day. The Fedora is a ghost ship as far as I am concerned. I have never been able to track it except for the first day of travel from Southhampton.

I'm bummed.

oh, what a shame! that's the MINI equivalent of being pregnant but not being able to do ultrasounds or any other testing to check the baby's status.

Hi Pat!

Well, the Fedora is scheduled to hit Port Hueneme next Wednesday and the Pacific is usually calmer than the Atlantic, so hopefully, we'll be able to track our cars at the VDC via our MAs next week

Boy I do wish I was on your boat, but mine has not even made it into production yet.

AND I just learned that after it makes it onto the boat, it will take about 3 weeks just to get to the US .

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!

Well I my caps were delivered but my build date moved out a week . I'm guessing because the factory was closed for a week.

This process doesn't seem to be going the way I would like it to go.

Were close Jerry. The ship has landed in California and I suspect the cars will be distrubted farly quickly. I'm sure MNI wan't to get some money in their coffers just as quickly as they can.

I talked with my MA last week and he suspected that the car would be in the dealerhip by Saturday or Sunday of this week.

Yeeeee hawwwww. I hope to get it by next Saturday. The dealers is putting on the Invisishield and the mudflaps.

Good luck everyone. Hang in there we're almost home.

Regards,

Pat

COKen, I feel for you brother. The wait can be a pain the neck. Try my wiat. This is the 3rd time for me.

Did you at least have you old Mini to drive while waiting for your new Mini?

At least I do have my M Roadster so that I can still enjoy the drive while waiting.

My wife took delivery of her MINI on January 8th. I have been able to drive it twice since she got it. Not enough to take care of the addiction.

In the meantime I have been driving my GTO but it's not the same. Not even close.

Consequntly I'm still Jonesing.

Well my Roadster is a great ride, so it does help with the wait (a little).

CoKen, Good for you. It's getting closer.
Don't get me wrong. The GTO is a nice ride, real fast and handles well but it's just not a MINI.

I still have not got mine. I know the ship landed in California last Wednesday but still no word on where the car is.

Bummer.

I hope the time goes quickly for you.

Regards,

Pat

Like MiniOn I was also a Week 10'er...it does not get any easier Guys sorry to say, but in 8 LONG Weeks I had my Baby Molly and she has stolen MY Heart!!

I was able to sneak of peek of Molly just after she arrived at the Dealership, one Week prior to Delivery, see if you guys can do that, that won't help you sleep any better, but it will subdue the anticipation somewhat!!

Good Luck!! Pics. are a must once you've taken Delivery!!

Funny how Pat mentioned he's been buying stuff for his MINI before getting the car....I've now collected over 96 diecast Coopers, in various sizes, all before getting the real one!

My other half says I have enough little ones now I can build my own big one and save a ton of money (he doesn't get it)

Still No Sign

It's still invisible. No sign of the car yet.

I wish they would enhance their tracking. I wouldn't think that it would cost that much. I would really be nice to know with a little more precision where our babies are at any point in time.

Hope you find yours soon.

THE CAR HAS BEEN FOUND THE CAR HAS BEEN FOUND

My MA just got back to me with a copy of the email from the Distribution Center. The Distribution Center was backed up. They recieved two ships and once and were struggling to get the cars processed. From the time they did there work on the car, yesterday, it is on a car hauler today. It is not going by train but by car hauler to Seattle. The dealership expect to have it by Monday and maybe even Sunday.

That is good news. I specifically asked about any transit damage and it was stated there is zero damage to the car.

I am a happy camper. It still probably won't be until the 12th or maybe even the 14th before I get it. But there is an end in sight that's the critical thing.

Next thing up will be pictues of me and my MINI. I may even let my wife's MINI Dotty get in the picture. I think Fulburt will like that. She did after all let me drive her car twice.

Regards,

Pat

Hang in there. As you can see, you've got a lot of empathetic fellow MINIacs. Look up all the accessory sites you can find, become obsessive with NAM and figure out what mods you're going to spend your first $1,000 on! Trust me, you've just begun spending money on your new baby
