Same thing happened to me this morning. First time I've seen that in over two years.

Haha, and when summer comes around and when it hits 110F, then you can start complaining of heat exhaustion! I kid, I kid!

Does that light only come on when it hasn't been cold for a while? I got my mini Jan 2, and I've never seen that warning light, even though it hasn't been above freezing in the entire time I've owned it.

18 in Charlotte today. Winter sucks. Ice storm two days ago. No one knows how to drive on it, so wrecks galore.

Can't wait for spring.

My car (05 R53) chimes when it gets to 37. When turning the car on, if its 37 or below, the car will chime and the temp will flash on the tach. If the temp drops below 37 at some point during the day while driving the same thing will happen...

p.s. 12 degrees when I left for work this morning brrrrrrrr

If your car lives outside you may not see that warning snowflake for awhile in Chicago It only shows if you start with a temp above 37 and then it goes below while you drive. Face it: You don't need no steenking light. You know damn well it's freezing in Chicago when you leave for work (my daughter lives there)

Extreme temperature range is the effect of global warming, here in Indiana it was 65 December 28th and then a couple days later we had almost an inch of ICE and then we were down below 0

This is global warming!

I was skiing yesterday in single digit temps. Very cold. That plus the windchill of skiing at 50mph makes it even colder. Lots of hot cocoa breaks.

There are places in isolated northern Canada where they take the wheels and tires off their cars at night and bring them inside or the cold and the weight of the car will cause the tires to burst at night. Not many MINIs up there though as you can imagine. Now THAT's cold!

You know how some vandals slash tires with knives? In the places up north during the winter, vandals simply hit your sidewall with a hammer and the tires fracture...cold is a whole different term up there.

It doesn't do it all the time. Only when the temps are above 37 and then when it drops below. If the temps have been below (and in our case, WAAAAAY below) then it won't show up.

After today's fantastic day, next time it drops below 37, yours should warn you

Thats the main thing keeping me out of the prairies right now despite everyone painting it as the promised land. I had -30F when i turned the car over last week and died a little bit on the inside.
