Giving some thought to a good 12V air compressor to be placed in the trunk but the better ones will no doubt have a higher Amp rating.

What is the fuse of the accessory plug in the trunk?

Any good experiences with a quick filling 12V on board compressor much appreciated.

 

it's a 20 amp, fuse #42

No experience with plug in pumps.

 

I think the more powerful compressors have clips to connect directly to the battery to avoid the risk of blowing the fuse in the 12v outlet

Most 12v air compressors of the size that you would want for a Mini draw about 10-12amps.

I got this for my MINI since I run REAL tires and drive long distances to AutoX events. Comes with lighter plug and battery clips and is rated to about 14amps. Comes with complete tire repair kit if your running non-run flats. If your looking for just the pump they do sell it seperately and of the MANY reviews of it out on the net, it really is a great bang for buck air system!
