"Service" is displayed where before it showed miles / date for first service. But it goes off a few seconds later after starting and the display show miles per hour. So I have no "service" displayed when driving. Any comments??

 

Is it red? You need to take your mini in for service, stat.

 

As I recall, it does that when you get below 1000 miles to your service interval. Does it still show you a number of miles left? Go ahead and call your dealer and make an appointment now - you'll have time to get it in when it's convenient before it's "overdue."

 

I assumed it was normal and the car's just telling you its about due for a service. Tristan just stated saying that last night, he's got 700 miles to the service. The manual tells you about it under indicators, if its yellow the service is due, if its red its overdue.

 

Yep, its just tapping you on the shoulder as a reminder.
