Hello,

I dont frequent the forums often but the site has been very helpful in ordering our 09 Mini Cooper. The Mini is my fathers, we built the car together and he is happy with his first impressions of the Mini so far. I had the chance to drive it around all day and its a fun car. Im into VWs myself but the Mini is a really fun car and was unique experience to build. Ive never ordered a car that had so many options and configurations. My father wanted a fun weekend car, he saw many down in NYC and he was hooked, you all know the feeling He wanted something different so we chose Laser blue with a white roof and bonnet. Its a Mini Cooper S 6spd, leather and we added quite a bit of options My father hasnt driven or owned a manual in 36 years, so im glad he is driving a manual again We took a test drive of the mini a few months ago, once he got in and started driving it all came back to him. For him to drive it comfortably, was the deceiding factor in purchasing. The mini is an easy manual to drive, light clutch and smooth gearbox. We waited a few months and got the call our Mini was at the dealer, and took deliver today. Here are a few quick photos from today. I hope to convince my father to attend some GTGs

Congrats! I'm hoping mine is on the ocean somewhere, making her way to me! The waiting is terrible - you were very tough to do it on your own without daily doses of NAM!

I love the LB with white - wish the Clubmans had a white roof option, as the silver isn't quite as nice with some colors...

I love the Laser Blue w/white. I had a hard time deciding whether to get Lightning Blue w/black or Laser Blue w/white. I finally decided on the first but ... I wish could afford another one ... maybe my husband ... yeah
