It charges I let the phone get all the way down and it still charges.

 

Will it work with the next generation iPhone?

I'll bet we will see it released in the next few months.

 

Is there anywhere I can buy aftermarket cradles? or even MINI cradles but not from the dealer? Just got my car and it took me about 20 mins to realize that you need the snap in adapter to use a phone.

I felt real smart afterwards.

 

I just got an iphone 3Gs and got BMW to send over the cradle for my armrest part No. 84 21 2 158 683 I put it in the armrest and it seems to work for charging and making calls with blue tooth. When you first put the phone in it, it says this device not compatible with an iphone do you want to go to airplane mode? Should I be worried? Or is that just a stock message?

 

Stock message unless the iphone can identify the device. We have had ours for 5 or 6 months and it works great.

 

I have an 09 with Nav and blue tooth and I got from BMW Part 84 21 2 158 683 It is the cradle that goes into the armrest and you slide your iPhone 3G into it.

It allows you to charge your phone, make calls receive calls, see all of your contacts on the nav screen along with missed calls.

It also allows you to play all of your music on your phone using the steering wheel controls and so forth.

It is a BMW part, but it plugs into the armrest and works fine.
