I'm going to have some sports stripes or viper stripes installed on my MINI this week and I need to know what size looks right or to scale on the MINI bonnet and boot. Here is what I was thinking

2 stripes 6" wide with .5" stripes on both sides of each stripe, and about 2 space in between. Anyone have pics they can post with measurements of their stripes?

 

Here is what I have come up with so far.

Spacing

3/4" Stripe, 1/2" gap, 6" Stripe, 1/2" gap, 3/4" Stripe,[center of bonnet 4" gap] 3/4" Stripe, 1/2" gap, 6" Stripe, 1/2" gap, 3/4" Stripe.

The outside 3/4" stripes are in line with the washer nozzles.

Here are a few pics of it taped up with painters tape. I know the spacing around the scoop is not perfect, but as good as I could get for a 5 min. job.

What do you guys/gals think?

I think you laid out a pretty good pattern. The only downside is the colour, silver and honalulu blue are the detroit lions colours. That's a pretty bad omen, its been like 15yrs since they made the playoffs.

sure is. I have decided not to do anything about it at the moment. I had my car in for service yesterday and the SA said that he had heard about this being a problem. I just didnt want to be out of my MINI for several days. I was in a rental yesterday for about 10 hours and that makes you appreciate your MINI even more. I was in a 07 Mazda 6 and I tell you what if MINI wanted to sell more cars then all they have to do is let someone drive a MINI for a week or two and then make them drive a Mazda 6 for a couple of days.
