I understand that top speed in the U.S. is electronically limited (by reducing flow from the fuel pump), so I'm not sure whether "had throttle left" is meaningful. (But then again, my MINI doesn't go into final assembly until this week, so how would I know?)

 

Well, all I can say is at 135mph it was at a little over 6000 rpms, and red line is 6500. But that was according to the speedo, not GPS, so who knows?
