Window Tint in Austin Tx

I've had my new Mini for almost 2 weeks now. With these 100 degree days I'm ready to have the windows tinted. Any Austin Tx Mini owners have their Windows/Sunroof tinted? I'm looking for recomendations on a place in Austin that does great work.

Make a day trip to Dallas and get HuperOptik Ceramic tint at Pro Tint. They've done two cars for me and do an outstanding job. The ceramic tint makes a noticeable difference in the temperature. Love the ceramic tint!

I get up to Dallas every now and then, but I'm really looking to find something here in Austin so I can drop off the Mini during the day and pick it up after work.

But, it could be a good excuse for a road trip.

Sun Tint

Tingo,

I just had mine done at Sun Tint up on Koenig. They did a great job...and work on lots of BMW/MINI's. However the darkest they will go on driver/passenger sides is 35%. They told me a 35% plus the tempured glass equals around a 20%. The law here is 25% passenger/driver sides with no limitation on the back. I got the "carbon" (non-metalic) one and it matches the car great.

Good luck!

Dahveed,

Thanks, I'm going to visit them at lunch today. I may do the ClearSheild too if the price is right.

Thanks man!

Mother's Window Tint had Hüper Optik, too, although they only had one type, the Hüper Ceramic 30.

Sun Tint is the way to go. They tint for my business storefront windows and all my auto windows. First class all the way.

they did the clear shield on our MINI last August. It was a total custom job and was only $500 and a great job...much better than previous clear shields I have had on other vehicles at other places...

Tell 'em OP from AM/PM Animal Hospital sent you...it can't hurt, maybe.

Shades of Texas in Cedar Park on 183 just north of Lakeline has done a couple cars for me. Great results. If you want a place a little further north.

Dahveed,

I'm set up with Sun Tint on Thursday. All windows and the sunroof.

He said it would be around 475 to do ClearSheild on hood, front spoiler, fenders, side mirrors. I only want the front spoiler and the hood done, he guestimated around 350. I'll get a firm price on Thursday and let you know.

Thanks for the information on these guys.

Yesterday Sun Tint put on ClearSheild and tinted my windows and sunroof.

They did an excellent job on both.

I would definitely recommend them.

I'll try and post some pictures tomorrow.

So Dahveed and tingo, can you give me a ballpark figure for what they charged you on the tint?

Another Dallas area tint shop

Sunray Custom Tint in Keller, TX did my tint and it looks great! They use Llumar Film, lifetime warranty, only $195.00. Nice place to consider if you get to the Dallas area.

The windows were around 210.00, and each sunroof was 30.00.
