Fair Warning.....

I know some people will disagree, But.....DONT EVER ORDER FROM MOSS MINI (yes I gave them fair chance to correct the issue before posting). I ordered my car cover and lock over 2weeks ago. The genius sales person sent if PARCEL post (told me priority). On top of that the dude didnt even take half my information down making it difficult to locate me, good thing I called them huh? . The sales dude sure as heck took the credit card number correctly however!
I called them and they said guess what....theres nothing I can do for you, you just have to hope it shows up sometime. What in the hell? Whatever happened to customer service? Im more annoyed that some dude got credit for crappy work, And the simple fact when you tell someone its going out PRIORITY and you send it Parcel? This leaves me feeling like they ripped me off!!! How is it possible I can get a Full 3in exhaust, in 1 week, parts from texas in 1 week and parts from NY in 4 days, but this company cant even promote an honest sale and follow thru.

its ok, you paid by credit card, have the CC company issue a charge back due to their incompetence.

Did you discuss shipping costs with them? I imagine shipping a bulky cover via priority would have been a fortune. How much did they charge you for the parcel rate?

My thoughts, too. What did they quote you for fast shipping?

thats just it, they wouldnt tell me. I beleive I paid priority and they sent it parcel. I wont know until it gets here...if it gets here. For the record last time something was parcelled to me it was 8 weeks...its not my first choice to ship,

europe is right..HOWEVER Im military (APO) so if a package is shipped priority, it takes 8-10 days. It stops at a hub in NY. I have already accounted for this time, Moss MINI couldnt even tell me if it made it to NY yet.
FOR THE RECORD, it took a 3in full turbo back at 40lbs(according to usps) 8 days to arrive from Oregon sent priority. So I again say pay no mind to the europe postage, TXspeedwerks=4days, JSCspeed+5 days....SO Moss MINI= no excuse\
As stated I just want to warn people

Might be an isolated case for Moss MINI.

I've personally ordered at least a dozen things from them. Never a problem.

And I've been on this board for two years and I don't recall any complaints about them before.

So don't jump to conclusions about this company, folks. No company on Earth makes every customer happy.

Ps. Thanks for serving, Matty. 23-year veteran myself, 13 years of it overseas.

Feel for you man...

Yeah that really sucks. I've had problems ordering stuff before, but often times it has to do with one bad service person. I sent back a car cover that ripped that was under the warranty to Moss and they replaced it within a week. They've always been easy to deal with and have handled transactions flawlessly. I suggest you ask to speak with a manager and they will most likely take care of it or at least give you some more info.

matty125 like others have mentioned contact the General Manager there and explain what happened. If you don't get the correction you deserve dispute the credit card charge.

Best of luck and let us know when you can.

Chech the amount charged on your credit card (most allow you to do this online). From that, figure out whether they charged for Priority or Parcel Post. You can calculate what Priority should cost here:

http://ircalc.usps.gov/

Their address is:
Moss Motors, LTD
440 Rutherford Street
Goleta, CA 93117

On 07/21/2008 I ordered caliper paint & and a tire gauge. Received them by UPS on 07/24/2008. However, I'm in California, less than 300 miles from their location.

Moving

Could be a side effect of the east coast operation being moved....

"Moss Motors’ East Coast distribution facility is moving. Established in 1988, Moss’ Dover, NJ warehouse no longer has sufficient space to expand. Taking into account distribution patterns, cost of living and lifestyle issues, the decision has been made to move distribution to a new facility in Virginia."

"The move will take place in the second half of 2008"

I use MOSS a lot ... never had a problem. Now problems with APO over the years ... that's a different story. Some companies wouldn't even ship to APO/FPO. {retired after 29 years....a good bit of it at sea....}

If I were in your shoes, I think I'd use one of the vendors over there. Maybe even

You didn't happen to serve in Air Force Security Service or Electronic Security Command or follow on commands, did you?

Most companies will ship APO but you kind of have to explain it and pay a little extra as they have to do the customs forms and stuff. I would not buy from the European counterpart as the exchange rate and VAT will kill you in cost. If a company won't ship APO get a ShipItAPO account and use them. I have in the past and it works great. If Moss MINI didn't ship it priority it could be 2 to 3 months before you get it. :(

Apo box.com works great too. I used them when toshiba wouldn't send a laptop to an apo, and it only took a week to get to Iraq. As for moss, I ordered from them last week, on Monday didn't pay for fast shipping, but I got it on Wednesday.

Im very familiar with the ShipitAPO types of business, Wish I thought of the idea, its great.
The frustrating thing was with all things purchased weather its from ebay or a parts supplier thats the first question I ask " do you ship APO" most of the time they say we sure do. I believe the saleman just did crap service, I probably will just turn it into the credit card and refuse package.
