Dude wheres my car?

I have been awaiting transport for over a week now. I am estimating my total wait time to be around 8 weeks at this point. I just sold my car privately and have to bum rides and borrow a car for 3+weeks now. The good thing is I got $2500 more than the dealer offered me for my previous car.

Good luck on getting your new one. It rough not having something. Hey with that 2500 buy a car where the owner has to pay off a debt so you can get it cheap and then sell it back to them when you are done with it for a profit.

Being prompt is important. I had a girlfriend that was late once. Ruined my whole day.

Central Texas doesn't do public transportation worth a hoot. I couldn't survive without a car.

One used car transaction is about all I would like to deal with. It is a pain in the **** to get a cashiers check verified to be real.

I am driving the wifes minivan and she is driving a blazer. UCK

The funny thing is I am getting 27mpg in the van over 160+ miles. I can't wait to see what I will be able to do with a mini.

Check out the "How to track your mini" post in the First Gear forum. If you're relying on the Owner's Lounge for status, your MINI might be a few days or more ahead of that. Check the shipping company's website, in particular, see real-time status on where you are in transit (though once you're on a ship, it's a crapshoot whether you'll be able to track it.)

I have the same problem. I was not expecting to sell my car so fast, and now I have to find wheels for the next 2 months. I think I may rent a car. Anyone know of a company with great rates????

I have done most of my tracking by calling mini. Last time I called the dealer b/c mini told me from now on they would know the most recent info.

I really hope I get it before road america (car race in WI).

Did you plug your VIN into http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/ to see what the shipping status is (select Auto Cargo on the right?) If it's on a WW ship, you'll see when it arrived at the dock, what ship it was on, when it was loaded, when it was unloaded, etc. Beyond that, you're at the mercy of the VDC, but at least you'll know more than "awaiting transport."
