Post your pics of side scuttles here

When I was planning my purchase, I was unable to find any pics of the side scuttles other than the tiny ones in the configurator. So I thought it'd be hellpful to new future NAMers (and current NAMers contemplating a change!) if we had a thread of pics of the various ones available.

My MA said mine was the first they had done, so I guess they haven't sold many.

Anyway, here's the blackjack scuttle. Even those that don't know the significance as to why I got them (see my screen name!) thought they looked sharp!

I would like to see the difference between the checkered scuttles and the JCW CF ones.

How hard/easy are they to install. I don't want to pay the dealer to swap out my factory scuttles.

They are very easy to swap out. You open the bonnet and push them forward and they will unclip. Then move the light from the original to the new scuttle and them pop them back on. Took about 5 minutes total to do.

Moss Mini has close-ups of the factory scuttles, but apparently not the CF.

Thanks. I'm now leaning towards the checkered flag. We're getting the checkered mirror covers anyway.

Thanks. I also found the DIY sticky on mirror caps, so it looks like I'm doing these treatments myself, unless the dealer agrees to do the installs free and give me the 10% club discount on the parts (or let me bring them in from elsewhere).

Here is a picture of my skuttle. This modification was done at great expense. I like my skuttle.

On the base cars I think the optional scuttles with the white signal lights package is almost mandatory, really makes the car look a lot nicer and finishes it off.

The big black plastic scuttle with that giant yellow side marker is not so great, especially on certain colors.

Seems like if you get them you are almost obligated to get the rear view mirror cover as well....

Hey danielo, any chance you can get a photo of your scuttle from a distance so we can see in relation to the entire car. ...hard to tell how it looks from that angle and closeup shot. (thanks in advance).

Awesome looking. I ordered the factory checkered, but those look so much better. Where are they on the AC site?

Because of this thread, I have upgraded my order to include the White Signal Lights... I had already decided that the stock plastic scuttles had to go, but you are right, Analogeezer, the white light makes it look right.

What rear view mirror cover are you talking about, though?
