Nice work all....it does always make me wonder why MINIs have scuttles at all. Seems much more of a BMW thing then a Mini thing. A great place to capitalize on some you-ification, I will say that.

Hmmm, really?...I was thinking the opposite is true. All MINIs have the side scuttles, right? And customization seems popular. Most BMWs just have the side blinkers and few really change them much. The E46 M3 has its trademark side gills and some people swap them out for Black or CF. I never changed mine.

MINIs yes...Minis, no. It seems more common for historic BMW's to have side vents and such.

I'm living in the past...what can I say.

Hey! How did you get the surround to be red?

ordered by the dealer the original color of my MINI (chili red)
and then painted with an compressor System as the Mini JCW parts was painted
after that installed the checkered inlet and then ready to run

here is an example of blue

i hope you enjoy that

I'm so happy to see the black jack scuttle so well-represented here! I really wanted to see what they looked like with the white sidemarker lights. I was debating on weather it was worth it to replace the yellow sidelights for white ones. I'll be placing that order for those new sidemarker lights like... yesterday.

Scuttle on folks!

Sorry to steal your thunder. I also like the stickers AC has for covering the air bag warning on the visors.

Who would have thought that such a small detail item could make such a HUGE design statement?

ME!

That's why I ordered the Union Jack scuttles for my MINI. I like the splash of color on the car's sides. Yeah, I know much of it is RED like my Chili Red paint job, I'm referring mainly to the blue thrown in there. I also like to show fellow motorists that I love all things British!

That said, I also think it's nice that people have chosen to go the minimalist route and apply black & white scuttles to their rides. Nice contrast.

I'll put up pix of my scuttles once the car arrives...

They just slide off. Kinda cool actually. I replaced mine myself and didn't break a nail.

Yes extra $ but not much. Comes from AC, in a many colors and set of three, 2 for shuttles and 1 for boot S.

I sprayed the surround black and the scuttles DS. Added a little air brushing in black to highlight.
