R56 License plate on lower front grille of R56?

License plate on lower front grille of R56?

Does anyone know if you can affix the front plate to the lower grille of an R56? Can it be done? Any reason why it might be a bad idea?

If anyone has pics of such an installation, I'd be much obliged.

That might work. In one pic, it looks like it's attached to one end of the grille. I suppose it could attach anywhere on the grille, no?

I believe it screws into the tow hook hole.
