Difference between 2 alarms on miniusa.com

Hello,

Looking at the miniusa.com and building my new mini, there are 2 different alarms for 2 diff. prices. 1 is $225 and the other is $500. When you look at both they say the same specs. Anyone know whats up with that?

Thanks,

SDell

The $225 option is for the alarm system only - it is not preinstalled in your MINI. The $500 option is the alarm system + installation at the factory.

the best alarm is to leave you car open... I had the top quality video, and external alarm and in a guarded parking lot I lost 8,000 dollars worth of add on's.. could never find the ppl in the video... No more alarms..

Thanks catguy!!

Sorry about that, that really sucks!! I think you are right, if someone really wants to get to your car there going to get it. I live in DC and tend to think I need some sort of protection, but dont know what that is. I am not as concerned as much about accessories or add ons as much as just the car itself. I think I will save my $500 and get a "club" or something.

Thanks,

Dell
