R56 Foglights?
Foglights?
Hi all,
Searched around a bit, but could not find any pictures of the base cooper without foglights...are there just two holes if you don't have them?
If anyone could point me to some pictures (preferably white) that have no foglights I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks.

What i have heard is that there are just little plastic pop outs in place of the fog lights, as i used to wonder this also. You should just get the front and fear fogs so your mini doesnt look unfinished and your toggles will be full.
Thanks for the replies guys...For some reason that mini looks like it has foglights to me lol
So you can actually turn on the rear foglights as well? I thought it was just a reflector, and not worth the $100 heh

Its a light, not a reflector. Its a proper high intensity rear fog light.

We just took delivery of our MC Saturday, then spent two days and 400 miles on vacation in the mountains of NC, two vehicles. We got the rear fog lamp to "fill the hole" and make it look better, but while I was following the MINI in the rain, and the rear fog lamp was on, it was rather obnoxious IMO. It is bright and visible as intended, but it is about the same intensity as brake lights when they are on, and this one is always that brightness, and with the rain and reflections and all, I just wanted my son to turn it off.
Again, IMO, it looks better when parked, it fills the toggle switch spot, but I don't care for it for it's intended use as an extra clearance light. If the fog is that bad, stay off the road.

Well then, would you mind waiting 'til mine gets here? I ordered a PW/PW MC and I've been hitting myself on the head eversince I've forgotten to add the foglights. By the time I realized it, it was already too late to have it installed! *sigh*
It won't get here 'til next week I think... it's still on the Asian Chorus arriving at the VDC in 2 days.

If it were me and I didn't have a rear fog, I'd get the $35-$40 kit (which includes wiring and the entire light unit) to turn the rear fog into a brake light. You may not get a toggle, but if the blank panel bothers you this is a very cost effective, and truly useful, solution. Now...if I only remembered which vendor offers it.

Unless there's a white lens option, I thought the white version was the reversing light for cars without the rear fogs.
