I'm thinking about purchasing Bonnet Scoop Chrome from Morristown MINI accessory webpage, but wonder whether installation will be easy or hard?
Has anyone install Bonnet Scoop Chrome in your Cooper S? Was it easy or hard?

 

it's very easy. there is a rubber plug on the underside of the "bonnet" that has to be removed. Under the plug is a screw that must be removed. after removing the screw, just pull up really hard on the scoop and it will POP off.

 

Thank you so much. I'll definately try. But still wonder whether replacement to chrome would make a big difference.

 

I want one too but not sure if the heat would ruin the look!!!??? and it's not cheap either...

 

Regarding the heat.....I'm thinking about opening up the vent holes in the scoop. My R56 is an early one and the vent is closed. Can the vent be removed without pulling the whole scoop off? Got the Dremel all ready to go.
