Truthful answer...

Alright guys with ALTA TURBO BACK ONLY Did you truily notice a susbstancial gain from the full turbo back ... I ask because I bought a Alta DP and was going to return it and buy a ECU plug and play for the same money. I already have a catback, infact theres clips of the sound already posted...it sounds nice. Im trying to figure what the best expense is at 760 dollars

PS Ive heard MAAJI vids or whatever his name is, Id like to hear someone elses HONEST opinion http://www.youtube.com/v/KrtT-EGxey8

This should be in the 'Drivetrain' forum of the 'Modifications' section.

If you haven't already done the dump-pipe mod (removing one of the 2 cats) then you probably will see some significant power improvements by going the full Turbo back system. Is it worth $760 to get this extra power - no way! You can get the same results (or very similar) by keeping your existing cat back system and spending some money to remove that first cat behind the turbo.

I have a full custom Turbo back 3" stainless system on my R56 and one of my mates has the JCW Cat-back Stainless exhuast on his car + he has done the GTT dump pipe mod. Both cars got bery similar power gains from their exhuasts but the main factor in this was getting rid of that first cat.

If I were in your situation I would go to a reputable exhaust shop and get them to remove your dump pipe; cut it open and remove the first cat; weld it back up and then spend the rest of your money on other mods.
