Since I'm not a MINI owner YET , I've been lurking on the forum for a while. I've been enjoying all of the info on the various threads, but I wanted to post this question...
If you could offer JUST ONE comment about owning a MINI as a "sales pitch" to someone interested in taking the plunge, what would it be? How would you "sell" the MINI to a newbie?
I have owned many sports cars, and driven many more. I used to race, so this includes many race-prepared vehicles, including open wheeled race cars and my little brother's Ferrari.
My MINI is the best handling stock vehicle I've ever driven. And my MINI doesn't have the sport suspension.

Reason: clarity
Not a "comment".......when he learned I used to do a lot of autocrossing, during the test drive my salesman kept pushing me to keep up speed around corners........that was all it took!!! (ps -- my last two cars were 911 Porsches.....the MINI is a LOT more fun)

Yep, I was sold anyway but when my MA encouraged me to take a freeway on ramp at 60+ my decision was well and truly made.

My test drive was somewhat similar, but due to forum rules that limit discussions on matters that might enter the realm of illegality, I'm not allowed to provide a complete description of what happened after the MA said, "That just means you get to pass them." The cliff notes version reads something like "You GOTTA get this car!"
"Remember when you were a kid and rode your first rollercoaster? How each curve and dip scared the heck outta you but you still laughed and had fun just because?"
