Well, after a week of being stuck in the "On order" status the mini webpage shows my new mini as being in the "Scheduled for production" slot. How long does it generally take on average before the car is ready to ship?

The MiniUSA site is on a lag of at least four days from reality.

The short term issue is a strike in Spain that's affecting the Mini Plant. This happened Thursday. Seems the Spaniards are protesting gas prices.

By the time Scheduled for Production shows up, your car MAY already have been in the QUEUE and may have been built this week. Hope it was built this week.
Mine was Scheduled for Production, on MiniUSA 4/10 and was on a ship by 4/21. It sat and waited a week for the ship.(Shipping is another story, with W&W letting you track the ships online AND K-Line giving you departure and arrival dates. Your dealer's sales dude can tell you the shipper and ship.)

Call MiniUSA on Monday and have them look up the status of you Mini.
The number is on the website. They should be able to tell you the status of your baby. Good luck.

 

mine went from order to production in 2 days, its in the body shop now

 

I just tracked WW ship, and my new MINI is expected to arrive in New Jersey on 6/15/2008. How long generally does it take from arrival to New Jersey Port to dealership and finally to meet my new BABY for purchase? 1 week or 10 days or 2 weeks? Anyone knows?
