R56 If Apple made a car...
Not a MINI owner yet, but Mac owner since my first Mac Plus in 1989. Met my husband on AOL (before they had 1 million members) when I got a free trial membership with my Performa in about '93. (He is also a Mac head). Now on a 20" iMac, 2 iPods, and we'd have iPhones if it weren't for being locked into a Verizon contract that has a year to go on it.
Was a graphic designer for a number of years and hated it when my company switched out our Macs for PCs.

My first Mac was a 128K in 1984. I started a company that became Casady & Greene, Inc. Some long-time Mac fans may remember Fluent Laser Fonts (first non-built-in PostScript fonts for the LaserWriter), Conflict Catcher, Crystal Quest (first color game on the Mac), QuickDEX (became InfoGenie, now iData) the list goes on. Currently helping a friend publish iData 3.
I have an old G4, and a Mac Book Pro. Also have two iPods and will probably dump Verizon to get an iPhone.

And I do remember Conflict Catcher too. I started out with Apple IIe in high school, then got a Mac SE for college. After college, I upgraded to some Mac, before ending with Centura (ok, maybe I went straight to Centura). Then I moved to the Windows camp, because my job was using Windows and I felt like I had to know how to work with it. After about 10 years of suffering with Windoze, I returned to the Apple camp with a PowerBook and now have a MacBookPro, although I still work with Windoze at the office.
Anyhow, I don't know if there's any strong correlations between Mac and MINI, but I'd guess that both of them attract folks who don't generally march to the beat of conventional drum beats, so to speak. I got my M0001 on day one at City College from the consortium in those days. My uncle was high up in the food chain and I got mine with the Imagewriter, case for both and a box of 400k disks ($5.00 each).
I met my wife in a computer store. Some of you may know of her. Sharon Zardetto Aker. Mac Bible author and contributor to MacWorld and in every MacUser except the last few years.
I had a Powerbook before they were introduced, one of each. A PB100, 140 and 180 and went on to do some work in that area.
I have Faculty t-shirts from the first 10 years of both SF and Boston MacWorld's and can't bring myself to get rid of the box of Newtons on my parts shelf. I was a SYSOP on MAUG (Compuserve) for years and had one of the first Mac based instructional labs for graphic design at Montclair State University using MacPlus's and Pagemaker.
I'd say I am the definition of "hard core".

5 Mac house here. Typing this on a new aluminum iMac 24. Have owned over 30 Macs since 1984. Bought 4 original Macs while in college (with student discount) and sold them for profit to buy my fist car...a brand new 1984 Honda CRX. Ahh, the good old days!
And don't say anything but I know I've got an Apple TV waiting for me for Father's Day. More toys!!!

I'm here on an iMac. Switched from PCs in late 2001. Have to use a dell PC at work and our IT guy is really tired of hearing me say, "You wouldn't be here if we ran Macs." while he's trying to figure out why that windows machine keeps crashing.
switched to Apple about a year ago, got first MINI in March this year, another one in April!
2 MacBook Pros, 1 MacBook, 4 iPods, 1 iPod Touch, '03 VR/W CVT, '03 BRG/W MCS

I have to confess to being a newbie all the way around.
My daughter worked for Apple for several years and talked me into an iMac (about 18 months ago), which I love. I will never go back to a PC, except at the office where it's not under my control. And she bought me an iPhone, which I also love, about 9 months ago for a birthday/Christmas present.
And I'm new to the MINIverse as well, having now owned MS MINIVER (an '03 CR MC) for about 6 months.
But now I am forever hooked on both!

I've been a Mac fan since I got a job programming them in 1987. I've carried on programming them since, Macintosh PC Exchange (the MS-DOS file system) had a lot to do with me, and I eventually got a job at Apple. USB in the iMac was the first product I helped with there. I did USB work, mainly for OS 9, though I also helped with a couple of USB controller drivers for OS X. I moved over to the iPod end of things starting with the iPod mini. I've been doing iPod USB stuff ever since.
I have a Mac Book air as my main machine, it does everything I want it to except edit HD video and play graphic intensive games (which cause it to go into thermal throttling). The Mac Book air is one of the few Apple products I've payed full retail for, I'd been waiting for that for at least 10 years. The other products I payed full retail for were a pair of 2nd Gen iPod minis, one for each MINI.

(Q22 was the code name for the iPod mini.)

Also waiting to buy the next gen Xenarc indash touchscreen so I can install the MacMini in my car.
That's Kevin's, he's a guy on the internal auto club list. He also has a yellow one and a red one.
Well If Apple made a car it wouldn't have any windows.
I've been a Mac user since Colored Ibook days. My first laptop was a blueberry ibook. Now I'm running a Mac Pro 20" Cinema Display. A Macbook, two ipods, and an iphone.

MAC convert since 2002. Ive got a Titanium Powerbook G4, iMac G5, 2 iPod NaNos and a 3rd gen iPod. I dont have a MCS yet, but am going to add one to my stable soon! The iPods are all dedicated (1 for the M Roadster, 1 for the FJ Cruiser, 1 for the home stereo) , so I guess I will need another NaNo when the MINI arrives! Cant ever have to many though, right?

I wanted a mac for a long time and finally took the plunge earlier this year with a macbook. No regrets! Love my iphone and ipod! Don't know how I lived without the ipod! Now I love Mini's too! I think mac and minis go hand in hand! I'm a mac/mini too!
